Egnatia Odos (GR) – a complete project for highway

In June 2022, we finished a project for the highway operator Egnatia Odos in Greece. The project consisted of delivery of 25 RSU units, 11 OBU units and a C-ITS Back office. The RSUs will be installed at a mountainous stretch of the highway, located about 70 kms west of Thessaloniki, near the town of Veria. The project is part of the Greek C-ROADS project. Our partners for the project were New Alert and Cross.

Our C-ITS Back office server Anbos takes care of monitoring and management of the units as well as generation and processing of C-ITS messages. The server is also connected to a system developed by CERTH (Greek institute for traffic) for exchanging the warning C-ITS messages. Anbos is integrated with the operator system Invipo to provide a convenient interface for the highway dispatchers.

Our system passed C-ROADS cross-border tests. Partners of the C-ROADS project came to Greece to test their OBUs and our OBU was validated in Italy. Both tests were successful and interoperability was proved.

As the final report of the C-ROADS GR states, the delivered system met the expectations.
